RESTORATION, RESTRUCTURING AND EXTENSION
Avrillé, 49
The Château de la Perrière in Avrillé was built in the 17th century on substructures dating back to the 15th century. Its four buildings at right angles to the Cour d'Honneur and in a horseshoe shape to the inner courtyard, with an orangery, a chapel and two pavilions, overlook a vast terraced park.
Having been left without maintenance for a long time, the castle has fortunately preserved all of the interior decorations of its lounges, which have been restored, in particular the original hangings and wallpapers.
When it was acquired by the town of Avrillé, the estate found a new purpose with the development of a golf course in the park. Part of the building houses the clubhouse of this golf course.
The large lounges on the ground floor have been entrusted to a major restorer, and the first floor now houses conference rooms.
A new wing was built to house the restaurant kitchens and the offices of the two large rooms of the Orangerie intended for receptions.
The complex has been completed by the creation of new gardens, and the development of a hotel program is currently under study.
